KJV Audio & Video

Privacy

This site is here so you can listen to and read the King James Bible. You don't need an account, and I don't want your personal information. Here is everything the site collects, and why.

Visitor statistics

I use two cookie-free analytics tools, Plausible Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics, to see how the site is used. Neither one sets cookies, stores IP addresses or follows you from visit to visit or site to site. They only give me totals: how many people visited, which chapters were opened, how long visits lasted, which sites sent people here, and how much time was spent listening (when audio or video is played, paused or finishes, the site notes the chapter and how many seconds were played). None of it is tied to you as a person.

Comments

If you leave a comment, the name and text you type are saved on my own server, along with a shortened form of your internet address that is used to block spam. Every comment waits for my approval before anyone else can see it, and I get an email copy so I know to review it. Comments that are never approved are deleted after 60 days. Posting a comment sets one small cookie that lets you delete your own comment within 15 minutes. That is the only cookie this site uses, and only if you comment.

Donations

The “Buy me a coffee” button takes you to Stripe, which handles the whole payment. Stripe's privacy policy covers your payment details. I never see or store your card number. Stripe shows me the amount, when it was given, and the name and email you enter at checkout so it can send your receipt. I don't use them for anything else.

What I don't do

No advertising, no selling or sharing of information, no mailing lists and no tracking cookies. The site is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, briefly handles your connection in order to deliver the pages.

Questions? Leave a comment on any chapter and I'll see it.
